18 races, 400 historic racing cars, 3 days. What a way to spend a bank holiday weekend.
Which all started at 8am in a lay by on the A453, waiting for Mr YetiDragon in his big daft yellow car. Complete with a gazebo strapped to the roll bar!
And they say MX5s are impractical!
We then proceeded the 10 minute journey into the circuit following a variety of classics and race cars to our spot on the infield. We were situated inside redgate (the first corner for those who don’t know Donington) opposite the owners club. The next job was to get the gazebo out and set up shop for the weekends racing. Which was followed my sunburn!
There was plenty to see. A huge variety of races on track, club stands on the infield, historic rally cars and go karts on the Melbourne loop and shops and stalls in the paddock. All in all, for £23 for 3 days, incredible value for money.
